Waking Up To Hilarity

What The Heck: I’m bummed!  Sat down to watch Monk and Psych last night, and all I got was the thwump-thwump monotony of tennis.  Can we say disappointment?  **major sigh**

One of my friends, Kristal Shaff, posted a cool quiz on her blog.  What Jane Austen character are you?  So I had a great time answering the quick questions and…

I’ve joined The Chain Gang!  Yes, it’s true.  Coming soon to this blog will be mucho-fabuloso-postos on writing related topicos (I have no idea why I went Spanisho).  In the sidebar to the right, you will find links to the Blog Chain members’ blogs.  Check them out – you won’t be sorry.  The current topic for discussion is — How real do your characters become? Are your characters real people to you?  How much do you really know about them?  Go to the first post in this topic by clicking the preceding link, and follow the discussion around the chain.

Well, my household erupted in hilarity this morning when my son, Perry, decided to fix some caramel sticky rolls.  So sweet of him.  He was unsure how to open the can of rolls (He’s 15…and male…they don’t read instructions – they already know it all).  Instead of pulling the paper off the can and tapping it gently against the counter to make the tubing pop open, he took a pair of scissors and cut the metal ends off. And get thisHe tried to push the (okay, I’m laughing so hard I can hardly write)…push the rolls out of the tube from one side to the other.  HA!  Of course, this did not work well.  But eventually, the rolls were rescued, baked, and eaten – every scrumpdillyicious bite.  We had a great family laugh to start our long Labor Day weekend.

Don’t forget to post an entry in the Wicked Writerly Fun comments!  There are some super character sketches already there.  Add yours to the list.  Let’s get this new blog rolling in style!!!
